School Resource Officers
91͵ÅÄ School Resource Officers
The McKinney Police Department currently has fifteen officers assigned to the School Resource Officer program. These positions are funded by 91͵ÅÄ and the City of McKinney.
They are in place to provide protection for the students and teachers, and to assist students in the day to day questions they might have regarding law enforcement.
The School Resource Officers also schedule assorted educational programs for the students.
The City of McKinney, the Police Department, and 91͵ÅÄ are continually re-evaluating the School Resource Officer program to insure the proper protection for students and teachers is provided.
