McKinney, Texas – 91͵ has been named to the 2021 Dallas Morning News Top 100 Places to Work list, marking the second time that the district has been recognized in DMN’s annual tally of area companies.

91͵ ranked among the top 25 large companies in the D/FW area and is one of only three public school districts to make the list alongside Prosper ISD and Grapevine-Colleyville ISD.

“The Dallas Morning News’ Top 100 Places to Work, presented by Belo + Company and our friends at DART, recognizes and celebrates businesses that are at the top of their game, ones that are making North Texas a better place to work,” said DMN Publisher and President Grant Moise during the newspaper’s virtual celebration held on Wednesday. “2021 marks the 13th annual celebration of these market-leading workplaces. This year we had a record number of North Texas companies entering the competition—337 companies that equate to nearly 150,000 workers.”

Dallas Morning News compiled the top 100 companies list based on staff feedback. Responses in five categories—Connection, Alignment, Effectiveness, The Basics and Leadership—were submitted through an independent survey conducted by research firm Energage, who analyzed the answers to determine where businesses landed in the rankings of large, mid-size and small companies.

“I am very pleased that 91͵ has been named to the Top 100 Places to Work for 2021 and that the recognition is based on employee feedback,” said 91͵ Superintendent Dr. Rick McDaniel. “It shines a well-deserved spotlight on our talented and dedicated employees who ensure that our district is marked by a culture of love, respect, compassion, and support for our students and for each other. Their commitment to our students and parents is at the heart of what makes 91͵ a great place to work.”
