McKinney, Texas – 91͵ has been named a 2016 “Best Place to Work” by the Dallas Business Journal and is the only school district to make the list this year.

“What makes this award so special is that it is based on feedback from our employees,” said 91͵ Assistant Superintendent and Chief Human Resources Officer Tamira Griffin. “It’s the people of 91͵ that truly make it one of the best, if not the best, places to work in the metroplex and beyond.”

Jason Bird

91͵ Chief Financial Officer Jason Bird accepts a plaque from Bill Hethcock of the Dallas Business Journal on behalf of the district. 91͵ is one of only 10 organizations selected for Best Places to Work recognition in the Extra-Large Business category for 2016.

For 14 years, the Dallas Business Journal has highlighted outstanding North Texas organizations in five classifications—micro, small, medium, large and extra-large—through its Best Places to Work feature.

91͵ is one of only 10 Dallas area businesses in the Extra-Large Business category to be selected for this year’s recognition. Also recognized in the same category are Baylor Institute for Rehabilitation, Brinker International, Capital One, CBRE, Children’s Health, Essilor of America, Gaylord Texan, Methodist Health System and Service King.
