McKinney Boyd High School Celebrates Black History Month (Video)
McKinney Boyd High School held its annual Black History Month celebration on February 28, 2024 in the McKinney Boyd auditorium. The program featured alumni and guest speakers as well as a fun and interactive performance by African drum and dance ensemble Bandan Koro.

The 2024 Senior Tour in Photos!
2024 marked the 14th year of the 91͵ÅÄ Senior Adult Tour as the district welcomed about 60 senior adults on a tour of Frazier Elementary and McKinney North High School. It was another great opportunity for students and staff to connect with senior members of our community and for the tour participants to get an inside look at the great things going on in 91͵ÅÄ.

91͵ÅÄ continues to offer its high school students a comparatively low-cost opportunity to prepare for college entrance exams with a ZAPS® SAT one-day test preparation seminar on Saturday, March 2, 2024, at McKinney Boyd High School.
McKinney Boyd and TSTC Alumnus Richard Rensing is Living his Dream of Flying Commercial Airplanes
Richard Rensing was exposed to flying aircraft at an early age and took classes at 91͵ÅÄ’s McKinney Aviation Academy. He graduated in 2019 from Texas State Technical College’s Aircraft Pilot Training Technology program at the Waco campus and is now a captain at Piedmont Airlines, a subsidiary of American Airlines.

91͵ÅÄ Athletics Hall of Honor — Class of 2024 (Video and Photos)
On January 19, 2024, the 91͵ÅÄ Athletics Department inducted the Hall of Honor Class of 2024, marking a decade of honors since the first class was announced in 2015.
The Hall of Honor induction ceremony is a celebration of everything that 91͵ÅÄ Athletics represents, this year honoring six individuals and one team.
UIL Realignment Keeps Things Close to Home with New Mix of Competition for 2024–2026
UIL released its always highly anticipated competition realignment lists on Thursday, February 1, 2024, and the new groupings bring a fresh mix of competition for the football programs at McKinney High School, McKinney Boyd and McKinney North. Volleyball and basketball at MHS and McKinney Boyd will fall into the same alignment as football, but little has changed for North volleyball and basketball as their district remains largely intact from its previous iteration.

91͵ÅÄ Announces Nate Leonard as the New Head Football Coach of McKinney High School
At the January Board of Trustees meeting Monday night, 91͵ÅÄ announced that it has hired Nate Leonard as the new head football coach of McKinney High School. Leonard comes to 91͵ÅÄ with 8 years of coaching experience at both the high school and collegiate levels. Most recently, he has served as the head football coach at Canyon High School in Comal ISD.
91͵ÅÄ School Board Approves Strategic Plan
The 91͵ÅÄ Strategic Plan was accepted by the Board on January 22, 2024. Mr. Pratt will determine the year to begin each action plan, designate a point person overseeing implementation, and establish an evaluation system.
The Strategic Plan becomes a part of the District Plan, Campus Plans, and Community-Based Accountability. Under the leadership of the Board of Trustees and Mr. Pratt, 91͵ÅÄ’s Strategic Plan will serve as the roadmap for transforming the district and turning the vision into reality for McKinney students, staff, and community.
