The 91͵ÅÄ Board of Trustees approved the 2022–2023 91͵ÅÄ academic calendar at their November 16 board meeting, and it is now available online.
The 2022–2023 school year will begin on August 10, 2022, and will conclude on May 25, 2023. New to the 91͵ÅÄ calendar is a fall break for students that will take place Friday, October 7 – Tuesday, October 11, 2022.

91͵ÅÄ has been named to the 2021 Dallas Morning News Top 100 Places to Work list, marking the second time that the district has been recognized in DMN’s annual tally of area companies.

The McKinney Education Foundation is a nonprofit organization with one purpose – to serve 91͵ÅÄ students and staff. The MEF Scholarship application is open for seniors. All 91͵ÅÄ graduating seniors are eligible to apply. The scholarship deadline for the 91͵ÅÄ Senior Class of 2022 is December 10 at 5:00 pm sharp. 91͵ÅÄ students taking part in Advanced Placement (AP) exams in the spring of 2021 earned accolades from the College Board for their performance, with 701 students from McKinney Boyd High School, McKinney High School and McKinney North High School receiving recognition. In addition, Ethan Bickel, a junior at McKinney High School, earned a perfect score on the AP Computer Science A exam, placing him among the top .5 percent of the 63,980 AP test-takers for that exam worldwide.
McKinney community leaders including Mayor George Fuller, 91͵ÅÄ Superintendent Dr. Rick McDaniel, McKinney Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Lisa Hermes, Wells Group founder Rick Wells, and others are excited to announce the official formation of a new community collaboration called One Heart McKinney (OHM), with the Executive Director role to be filled by Scott Elliott, current Executive Director at Community Lifeline Center.

In part one, we meet Zabdi Gonzalez who did not speak English when she moved from Mexico to Texas in 1989. In spite of the challenges she faced, Gonzalez went on to become a bilingual teacher, assistant principal and campus principal, and she now leads the 91͵ÅÄ English Learner Support Department.

This fall, officials from the National Merit Scholarship Corporation and the College Board recognized 69 91͵ÅÄ high school seniors in five categories for their outstanding performance on the PSAT, doubling the number of 91͵ÅÄ students recognized last year.
The 91͵ÅÄ Fall Community Resource Night was held at Old Settler's Recreation Center on Tuesday, October 5. The purpose of the event was to connect community resources with families in need to help improve and sustain the quality of life for the students and families of 91͵ÅÄ.
