Welcome to the 2017-18 school year. This newsletter serves as a resource for parents as they begin to prepare for the upcoming school year. Please remember that the first day of school for the 2017-18 school year is August 28, 2017.

Parents can enroll their new students to 91͵ÅÄ as well as update their returning student’s information through the district’s online registration process or by visiting the school the student is zoned for.
Returning Students
Registration for returning students is available between August 7, 2017 and September 4, 2017. Click to log in to the Home Access Center to update your student’s information.
New Students
New student registration for 2017-18 K – 5th graders opened on May 1, 2017. The registration forms for the 2017-18 school year are available through 91͵ÅÄ’s Enrollment Online System.
After the online registration process is complete, parents of students new to the district must provide additional paperwork to the district. Parents can complete this step beginning August 7, 2017 by going to their student’s zoned campus.

91͵ÅÄ offices are operating on an adjusted schedule through August 11, 2017. Summer hours are 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday. District offices will be closed on Fridays during this time.
After August 11, 91͵ÅÄ offices return to their regular hours which are 8 a.m. to 4:15 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Elementary school day hours are 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Middle school day hours are 8:45 a.m. to 3:45 p.m., Monday through Friday.
High school day hours are 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
91͵ÅÄ school supply lists are different depending on which campus your student will attend. Each campus maintains their own supply lists. 91͵ÅÄ high schools do not maintain a campus wide supply list. High school students receive their school supply information during the first week of classes in August.
To obtain a copy of your campus’ supply lists please contact your campus’ front office.
Each 91͵ÅÄ campus hosts at least one back to school night each Fall. Parents can contact their school’s front office for information about their campus’s back to school night.
91͵ÅÄ’s Home Access Center (HAC) is where parents can access their student’s course information and where student report card information will be posted. Parents who have not already signed up for HAC can do so online .

By law, 91͵ÅÄ must have an immunization record for each student on file. These records must be up-to-date at the time of registration. Students entering 91͵ÅÄ for the first time must present written verification of the required immunizations at the time of enrollment.

91͵ÅÄ Childcare Programs offer a wide variety of child care options for children ranging in age from 6 weeks to 12 years. The programs include Club 360 After School, Holiday Care, Summer Camp, Mother’s Day Out at MHS, Infant and Toddler Care at Lawson and Preschool Programs at MHS, MNHS and MBHS.

Texas back to school shoppers get a break from state and local sales taxes August 11-13. The law exempts most clothing, footwear, school supplies and backpacks priced under $100.
91͵ÅÄ teams with Durham School Services to transport students to school safe, on time, and ready to learn each day. Part of this service includes a online Bus Route Locator that parents can use to determine where and when our buses stop each day.
